  1. The International Day of Sign Languages (IDSL) is celebrated annually across the world on 23 September. The theme for the 2022 International Day of Sign Languages is “Sign Languages Unite Us!”.  
  2. The National Cinema Day was previously announced to be held on 16 September, however, on request from various stakeholders and in order to maximize participation, it was rescheduled to 23 September.
  3. Amazon on 21 September, 2022 announced its first utility-scale renewable energy projects in India, which include three solar farms in Rajasthan.
  4. Valery Polyakov, the Soviet cosmonaut who set the record for the longest single stay in space, passed away at the age of 80 on 19 September, 2022.
